NX5 High Security Biometric Deadbolt in Polished Brass

not ready for prime time - save your money
Please save your money and don't buy this product. It is not ready for prime time. Problems - 1) Motor is too weak to extend fully even with slight pressure. 2) half of the time Finger print will not recognize. 3) Even when if it recognizes, motor is weak and will not unbolt the lock all the way till end.

I ordered this $300 lock (form other authorized site where it was cheaper few bucks). Item arrived promptly. Looks good. Feels solid but not as much the Schlage deadbolt I was replacing. 1st item which has arrived has problem installing. If I tighten the screw completely it will stop working completely. Leaving it loose was the only option. Called customer service. Very helpful and prompt, they recognized the problem, immediately replaced with a new one. Prompt shipping there.

Now I can't return to old lock because 2 extra holes for this lock in the main door lock. I usually don't write reviews, but felt obligated to save you close to $300 as I benefit from...

Could be better...
I ordered this lock because it was by far the most aesthetically appealing lock I had found. I didn't want a keypad style because I had no interest in changing the codes or having people looking over my shoulder and watching me punch in the code. Additionally, I find the keypad locks kind of ugly and I don't want my house to look bad just so that it can be secure.

Before the pros and cons, here's a quick rundown of more information.
-The lock cylinder is a chinese knockoff of a Mul-T-Lock mortise cylinder, not a relatively standard KIK cylinder.
-The keys are chinese knockoffs of Mul-T-Lock dimple keys which are easy to make impressions of and to pick.
-The impact sensor is not a vibration or shock sensor
-The users are not easily added or deleted

Pros:
-The finish is nicely done
-The fingerprint scanner seems to be very accurate
-it kind of does what it's supposed to do
