Smartkey is a brilliant feature!
We have 3 separate entry keys for our house, those multikey days appear to be over. A few years ago a contractor used this lock for our new garage, kitchen and patio doors, hence our third entry key. Today I had to replace one of the garage door locks that appears to have been tampered with by someone attempting to get into the garage. I was all ready to add a fourth entry key on my key chain but when I looked up this lock I discovered the Smartkey feature of this lock. Smartkey is the greatest thing since sliced bread. You can rekey the new lock in place with your current key, no added entry key. I only replaced one lock today but shortly I will replace the other two deadbolts that require separate keys with this lock and finally have a single entry key for the whole house.

Product was easy to install and setup, just be sure to the read the part about having the lock cycle thru the lock and unlock part! Another great feature was the smartkey feature, it now allows my parents, in-laws and I to all have the same key for every house, not that this is something everyone would want.
I love not carrying my house key, just the keyfob for my car and never worrying if I locked the doors since it has a 30 sec self lock feature. The other reason I chose Kwikset vs other brands was lock isn't vulnerable to bump lock attacks. Lock looks great and will be buying more for my rental properties when the time comes. Awesome product at an awesome price.

Nexia subscription is too high and too limiting.
I'm just not happy with Schlage's lock or their attempt to force me into yet another monthly subscription service, Nexia.

In sum, to get full functionality from this product, it's too expensive compared to superior alternatives. Also, it will bloat your iPhone / Android with yet another app that only controls one or two devices, when there are other, free alternatives that will give you one app that will control everything.

I tried the Schlage lock, but purchased the Kwikset version (Z-wave) to install into four doors at our home. Here's why:

I know Kwikset is a budget brand, but it's what came in my 80 year old house when I bought it 20 years ago, and it's been good enough. When one of the deadbolt cylinders finally stopped working, despite lubrication, different keys, etc, I figured replacing all the locks with a new set of Kwiksets gave the best chance of avoiding modification work. I'm not all that handy, but I figured I'd give it a try before calling in a locksmith. Turns out that my older deadbolts have a circular insert which the new ones don't have. Still, the holes looked about the same. And "about" is the right word, unfortunately.

The main thing is that doing this by yourself is a pain. Putting in the inside dead bolt's long screws through the latch and into the front cylinder tends to make the front cylinder fall out unless it's taped in place (better yet, held in place by your assistant, since the front cylinder may have to be tweaked slightly to properly capture the bolt coming from the rear...

Please save your money and don't buy this product. It is not ready for prime time. Problems - 1) Motor is too weak to extend fully even with slight pressure. 2) half of the time Finger print will not recognize. 3) Even when if it recognizes, motor is weak and will not unbolt the lock all the way till end.

I ordered this $300 lock (form other authorized site where it was cheaper few bucks). Item arrived promptly. Looks good. Feels solid but not as much the Schlage deadbolt I was replacing. 1st item which has arrived has problem installing. If I tighten the screw completely it will stop working completely. Leaving it loose was the only option. Called customer service. Very helpful and prompt, they recognized the problem, immediately replaced with a new one. Prompt shipping there.
