I put two of these on my parents house. One on their back door and another on their garage. Also, I just recently put a Venetian Bronze one on the front door of my apartment. Don't listen to the other reviewer. This is a very good product. You can set it to auto-lock. You can also set it not to. If the deadbolt and strike plate is properly installed, you should have no problem with the deadbolt functioning properly.

One thing I will note is battery life. It takes 4 AA batteries. I installed these on my parent's house over a year and a half ago, and I have changed the batteries on them both once. One of them is getting weaker and I think it is time to change the batteries again.
