consider the fact that this door opens OUT. Which means that if you are outside, the door is meant to be PULLED. Our door is a push-in, so in the beginning of the installation process, we realized that the strike plate got in the way of the door and we couldn't open it. We had to cut the strike plate down, which luckily we had a metal saw for. So unless you're sure of the thickness of the doorway or the direction your door opens, be ready to make some adjustments.

Otherwise, this door lock works splendidly, arrived on time, and was nicely packaged.
