Dexter by Schlage JD62V609 Double-Cylinder Deadbolt, Antique Brass

Not as impact resistant as it appears
The Dexter Deadbolt gives all the appearance of being a strong, impact resistant lock. However, the 'armor' cone section of the exterior offers much less impact resistance than regular Schlage locks. The lock cylinder housing, the stationary part, appears to be cast pot metal with about 50% less material than the regular Schlage. This lock is manufactured in China and, in my opinion, is the bottom of the Schlage lock line. I would not depend on this lock as a first defense against force entry. It would not withstand a couple of hard hammer blows.
