- Size: the Master Lock is more compact on the outside of the door with its reduced keyboard (2 digits per key)
- Installation: the Schlage is better designed, better protection of the wires and overall easier to install
- Construction: this is the real weak point of the Master Lock. The lock mechanism is very weak, it won't operate smoothly if everything is not perfectly aligned. The Schlage is much more robust and does not feel like anything is bending when you operate it.
- Code: the Master Lock accepts codes up to 10 digits (remember that you actually have only half of the digits since each key has 2 digits) but the Schlage is limited to only 4 digits.
